I Felt It Was Time For A Change……

I've spent 5 years trying to grow my felting business -- which consists of teaching mostly – with some success.  But as my parents age and my kids do too I find that there just isn't enough of me to go around.  The pressure to treat felting as a business has caused me to retreat from the studio altogether.  The studio used to be my get away from it all place.  I miss that.

Today I admit that I am a recreational felter.

Perhaps if I am only dabbling I'll actually spend more time in the studio!  Who knows.

The blog has a new, hopefully more personal look.  I’ve added a blog roll to it including all the fibre arts blogs I look at regularly.  If anyone else would like to be on the list just drop me a line or add a comment.

This has been a hard decision to come to but necessary for my peace of mind.

I will be putting wool up for sale soon as the stash I have far and away exceeds my needs if I'm not teaching or producing for sales. Check back for that.

Blessings & Good Cheer

I understand where you are coming from with your decision. Felting is my creative passion and often times stress reliever. It is much harder for it to be those things when it has to be a profitable business. It can certainly take the joy out of it. Best wishes to you! I really enjoy your blog.

And, I've "tagged" you on my blog:

Oh no, i just read this part and i do understand how you feel, but seems a shame though, hopefully you will have more time to spend in your studio now the pressure is off,
i'm just getting started,so its all new and pretty exciting and i think i will mostly be supplying carded batts and other goodies, and just having classes at the resort that i manage to see how that goes. Would it be ok if i add you to my blog
